Part of our Synogut overview. Last checked October 19, 2026.
The Synogut supplement dosage is two capsules a day, and the label says to take them with a meal[1]. One bottle holds 60 capsules, which is 30 servings. The vendor FAQ gives a slightly different version: two capsules with a big glass of water in the morning[2]. Both agree on the amount. Since most of the formula is fiber, the water matters more than the clock.
How do you take Synogut?
Take two capsules once a day with a meal, as printed on the bottle. The exact label wording is "adults take two capsules daily with a meal," followed by "Do not exceed recommended dose"[1].
The FAQ instead says to take "2 capsules with a big glass of water in the morning"[2]. These two directions can be combined: two capsules with breakfast and a full glass of water satisfies both.
What follows is our inference, not a vendor instruction. Psyllium is the first ingredient listed, and MedlinePlus says psyllium powder should go down with at least 8 oz (240 mL) of liquid[3]. Synogut does not say how much water per capsule, so a full 8 oz glass is a sensible floor. Swallow the capsules whole.
What is the right dose and timing?
The right dose is the label dose: two capsules, once a day, with food. Nothing in the vendor material supports taking more, and the label says not to.
A few sourced points on timing:
- With food. The label says with a meal; the FAQ says morning. Breakfast covers both.
- Away from certain medicines. MedlinePlus says not to take digoxin, aspirin or nitrofurantoin within 3 hours of psyllium[3]. If you take any of these, keep a 3-hour gap and ask your pharmacist.
- Same time daily. The ingredient trials gave fiber every day for 2 to 12 weeks[4], so a steady routine makes it easier to judge any change.
- Short laxative use. MedlinePlus says not to use psyllium as a laxative for longer than 1 week unless a doctor says so[3].
The vendor suggests at least 3 months of use. That is longer than the 60-day refund window, so plan your trial period with that in mind.
How long does one bottle last?
One bottle lasts 30 days at two capsules a day: 60 capsules divided by 2. There is no single-bottle option, so the smallest order covers 60 days.
| Package | Capsules | Days at 2 a day | Price (checked October 19, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 bottles | 120 | 60 | $158 plus $9.99 shipping shown |
| 3 bottles | 180 | 90 | $207, free US shipping |
| 6 bottles | 360 | 180 | $294, free US shipping |
The checkout may add tax or shipping, and orders outside the US show a $15.95 shipping fee. More on bundles is on our Synogut price page.
What should you avoid while taking it?
Avoid doubling up on fiber products, taking certain medicines too close to the dose, and taking it dry. Synogut lists no stimulants, so caffeine stacking is not a label concern, but the fiber load is.
- Other fiber or laxative supplements. Psyllium, glucomannan and flaxseed already add bulk. Stacking more fiber raises the odds of gas and bloating.
- Taking it without water. Glucomannan absorbs up to 50 times its weight in water, and glucomannan tablets have caused esophageal obstruction[5].
- Medicines close to the dose. Keep a gap from digoxin, aspirin and nitrofurantoin. Diabetes medicines may need closer monitoring because psyllium lowered glucose in type 2 diabetes[6].
- Any use under 18, in pregnancy or while nursing without a doctor, per the label.
The full safety list is on our Synogut side effects page.
How do you track whether it is doing anything?
Track the same things the constipation trials measured, so you have numbers instead of a feeling. Prune and psyllium trials counted weekly complete bowel movements and rated stool consistency and straining[7].
A simple log for each day:
- Date and time of the dose, and how much water you drank with it
- Number of bowel movements, and whether each felt complete
- Stool form on a 1 to 7 scale, hard to loose
- Bloating or gas, rated 0 to 3
- Any side effect, and any new medicine
Weigh yourself weekly only if weight is a goal; the glucomannan trials found no significant weight loss[8], so do not expect the scale to move. Bowel habits are the measure that matches what Synogut is sold for.
Write down one week before you start as a baseline. Compare week by week, and mark day 50 on your calendar so you can decide before the 60-day refund window closes. The refund process is on our is Synogut legit page.
When should you stop and talk to a doctor?
Stop taking Synogut and see a doctor right away if you have:
- Choking, chest pain or trouble swallowing after a dose
- Severe stomach pain, a swollen belly, or no bowel movement or gas for several days
- Blood in stool or black stool
- Hives, swelling of the lips or throat, or trouble breathing
- Yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine
- Constipation that lasts beyond 1 week of use (MedlinePlus advice for psyllium)[3]
How to take it: our summary
Take Synogut the way the label says, with a full glass of water, and keep a log. Before you order, check that none of the label exclusions applies to you: pregnancy, nursing, under 18, prescription medicines or a known medical condition without a doctor's advice. If you are unsure what is in the capsule, the Synogut ingredients page lists all 10 items.
- 2 capsules once a day, with breakfast or another meal
- At least 8 oz of water with the dose
- 3 hours apart from digoxin, aspirin and nitrofurantoin
- No extra fiber supplements on top
- A daily log, and a decision by day 50

Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to take Synogut?
The label says with a meal and the FAQ says in the morning, so breakfast fits both. Take it at the same time each day, with at least 8 oz of water, and keep it 3 hours from digoxin, aspirin or nitrofurantoin.
Can I take more than 2 Synogut capsules a day?
No. The label says two capsules daily and "Do not exceed recommended dose." Extra fiber raises the chance of gas, bloating and loose stools, and the vendor gives no higher-dose directions.
Can I take Synogut on an empty stomach?
The label says to take it with a meal. The FAQ mentions mornings with a big glass of water but no food rule. Going by the label, pair the two capsules with breakfast and a full glass of water.
How much water should I drink with Synogut?
Synogut gives no exact amount beyond a big glass. MedlinePlus says psyllium powder needs at least 8 oz (240 mL) of liquid per dose, so a full 8 oz glass is a sensible minimum with the capsules.
How many capsules are in a bottle of Synogut?
Each bottle holds 60 capsules, which is 30 servings of two capsules, or one month at the label dose. There is no single-bottle option, so the smallest order is 2 bottles, which covers 60 days.
